Meet Freddie!

As a childhood cancer survivor, my parents never knew if I would be able to see. Cancer had taken my right eye and had started in my left before I had started kindergarten. This greatly impacted my ealy education and impacted my decision to work with special needs children.​

My own physical struggles have given me a unique view of disabilities and how they impact learning. I received frontal lobe radiation as part of my treatment, which is linked to ADHD and depression. As I've aged and grown my understanding of how the brain works, these areas have become my superpowers instead of my deficits.

 

In my work, I hope to inspire, motivate, and encourage children that struggle.
